River Trails

There are many great ways to enjoy the paths and trails of St. Jacobs Country.

The Millrace Footpath
Walk the St. Jacobs portion of the Trans Canada Trail! This 2 km footpath follows an 1860's vintage millrace that was constructed alongside the Conestoga River to serve the power needs of a gristmill in the Village of St. Jacobs. A lovely walk any season of the year. Trailhead located on Front St. behind "the Mill"

The Health Valley Trail
A lovely flat trail heading east along the Conestoga River out of the town of St. Jacobs.  Trailhead located at east end of Municipal Parking lot off Albert St., St. Jacobs. For amibitous walkers or trail cyclists, look for the connector trail heading south alongside Hwy 85 to St. Jacobs Market Distric (approx. 5 km; caution steep hill).
